Congratulations on your new virtual office!

There’s just one final step before you can start using your new business address: we need to get your 1583 notarized.

If that sounds daunting, don’t worry, we’re here to make it easy.

This guide is designed to walk you through each step of the online notarization process, ensuring clarity, ease, and convenience from start to finish.

By following our simple, step-by-step walkthrough, you’ll navigate the notarization process quickly so you can start using your virtual office.

Here’s how to do it:

Your Step-By-Step Guide to Finishing the Notary Process:

*Before you start, make sure you have a valid driver’s license, a secondary form of ID such as a lease agreement, home or auto insurance, warranty deed, or voter registration card, and a quiet environment.

Step 1: Check Your Email Start by opening your email inbox and look for an email from Notary.net with the subject line “Online Notary.net – You have received a document”. This email will inform you that you’ve received a document from Alliance Virtual Offices and will include a link to Notary.net.

Step 2: Follow the Link Click on the link provided in the email to proceed. This link is your gateway to starting the notarization process.

Step 3: Device Check Once you’re on Notary.net, click on “start device check” and allow access to your microphone and camera. This step is crucial for the live notarization session. Please ensure you have a strong internet connection to avoid any issues, such as the “camera signal not acquired” notification.

Step 4: Orientation Video A helpful video will automatically load, offering a comprehensive walkthrough of what to expect next. Here’s a brief overview:

  • Enter your identity verification information.
  • Scan your driver’s license.
  • Connect with your notary agent.

Step 5: Security Questions You’ll be prompted to answer a few security questions for identity verification purposes. Please answer these accurately.

Step 6: Acknowledgement You’ll see a screen asking you to acknowledge that you’ve read the instructions and are ready to proceed. Please mark the appropriate option to continue.

Step 7: Verification Completion After your verification is complete, you’ll be directed to a screen with two options. Select “connect to notary now” to move forward.

Step 8: Signature You’ll be asked to either draw your signature or select a pre-existing signature style. Once satisfied, click “save signature style.”

Step 9: ID Scan The next screen will prompt you to “scan your foreign passport or driver’s license.” Please hold the front of your ID up to the camera and select “capture front of ID.” Repeat this step for the back of your ID.

Step 10: Secondary ID From the subsequent screen, select the type of secondary ID you’re using from a dropdown menu, and then upload an image of it to the provided dropbox.

Step 11: Review Your Form Your notary form will now be displayed. Take your time to review it thoroughly for accuracy. Once you’re ready, click on “start notary call” from the upper-right corner, followed by “I’m ready to connect” in the pop-up window. Please be patient as it may take a few minutes to connect with a notary.

Step 12: Final Verification with Notary Upon connecting with the notary, they will request to see your IDs. Hold them up to your camera for verification. The notary will also ask for your name as part of the identity verification process. Once everything is verified, your process is complete!
